The HP Pavilion DV6000T Laptop, a review
As the Intel based version of the HP Pavilion DV6000T laptop line you are looking at a few features that Intel users really love. However, most users who enjoy the intense power of the Core 2 Duo are less than impressed by the performance in this particular model. Bringing together the entire package with a weight of only 6.1 pounds this is a very portable unit and will not weigh you down heavily, but the unit itself is missing a few features. Pros The light size of the HP Pavilion DV6000T, combined with the 15.4-inch BrightView display creates a very nice package visually. This helps to ensure that those who are looking for a nice model visually are not disappointed. Additional features that are quite helpful are the two headphone jacks that are designed to allow you to share whatever you are watching, or listening to without disturbing others. Very useful feature for road trips and other similar situations. For those who enjoy constantly using a webcam, there is no need to run out and buy one. This model brings you a nice sized webcam built right in that is ready to go out of the box for the ultimate in streamlined solutions. Cons The battery life is less than stellar and frankly very disappointing. Adding to the disappointing features is the 60GB hard drive that is included. This computer may not be top of the line, but it certainly deserves something bigger than 60GB. Other problems include the BrightView screen, unfortunately while this is one of the clearest displays on the market today, the glossy finish can cause serious problems with glare when used by windows or even when you are in extremely brightly lit rooms. Aside from the glare, the HP Pavilion DV6000T screen is beautiful and perfect for watching videos and movies.
