The Sony TX Vaio Laptop,
get the full facts.

Moving up from the UX series is the Sony TX Vaio series of ultra-light laptops. These feature 11.1" diagonal screens, a full range keyboard (if a bit on the small and crowded side) and all the extra things (like USB ports, video out ports, and the like) that one expects from a clamshell format laptop.

Performance tends to dawdle behind their larger counterparts, though less so with the current generation than was the case in the past; the Intel Core 2 processor was designed as a low power component from the get-go, rather than trying to crank a full desktop processor down to laptop power consumption.

The Sony TX Vaio laptop weighs in at 2.8 lbs with from 4 up to 11 hours of standard battery life 7, a built-in CD/DVD burner, and durable carbon-fiber casing.

This series comes with Windows Vista ™ Business and are also available with Microsoft ® Windows XP Professional. This series supports 802.11 a/b/g wireless LAN and wireless Wide Area Network (WAN) technologies.

The wireless WAN allows you to access the Sprint ® Mobile Broadband service, extending your wireless coverage beyond LAN access networks and hotspots. It's not always easy finding hotspots so this is a nice feature.

The Sony's SmartWi ™ technology, that comes with this laptop, integrates wireless WAN, wireless LAN, and Bluetooth ® technologies so you can easily toggle or switch among these wireless connectivity methods.

This series includes LCD brightness control with white LED backlight and processor power control that helps with power/battery conservation.

If security is important to you the Sony TX Vaio contains a biometric fingerprint sensor and Sony's G-Sensor ™ Shock Protection to help protect your laptop and data from unauthorized use as well as damage.
