Toshiba Portege laptop computers,
everything you need to know.

This site features a detailed buying guide for Toshiba Portege laptop computers. Discover everything you need to know about their line of laptops and what makes them a strong brand.

For those looking for the ultimate in portability and light size, the Toshiba brings the Portege to the forefront.

Combining together some relatively decent features with an ultra lightweight of only 2.4-pounds, this is certainly an option that is quite fitting.

Designed to be easy to take with you anywhere this laptop is perfect with those who need the ultimate portability options.

Using the Toshiba Portege laptop may feel as if you are playing with a toy, but in actuality you are using a powerful machine.

Pros

The stunning 2.4-pound size is brilliant for transporting everywhere and not feeling as if you are carrying a huge load of bricks.

Very pleasing to see a tiny laptop coming with a decent amount of RAM, this model features 1GB standard and can be easily upgraded to 2GB.

A relatively decent sized 120GB hard drive is included with the Toshiba Portege laptop, which could be bigger obviously but considering the weight and size of this model is a dramatic improvement over many other much bigger laptops.

Cons

Overall, this model offers very limited configuration options so you do not have many upgrades possible.

Small feature to give up in keeping with the extremely light size, but not something everyone is willing to give up.

Slow 1.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo chip is given, much slower than almost all other laptop models on the market today.

A small upgrade to something a bit faster would not have added that much more weight, but given plenty of additional power.

As to be expected, when you are dealing with an ultra light laptop, you are getting an ultra small display as well.

The 12.1-inch display is quite small and can seem very cramped and crowded. Unfortunately, keeping the size light meant going with the smaller display.
